Mustard tilapia recipe
The flavor of tilapia is bettered with a delicious Dijon topping. This topping is made using Dijon mustard, mayonnaise and chopped pecans. In order to cut down on the calories and fat, one can use herbs instead of pecans or low fat mayonnaise. The preparation time for this recipe is 5 minutes and cooking time is 15 minutes.
Ingredient:
Mayonnaise ½ a cup
Brown mustard, like the French spicy and bold ¼ cup
Tilapia fillets 1 pound, should be thawed if frozen
Finely chopped pecans1/4 cups
Preparation:
Take a large baking pan which is shallow and is buttered lightly. The mustard and mayonnaise is mixed using a small bowl. The fish is patted lightly with paper towels to dry. The fish fillets are arranged in a prepared baking pan. The mayonnaise and mustard mixture is spread on each fillet. Then each fillet is sprinkled using chopped pecans, and pressed down gently.
This preparation is then baked in an oven preheated to 350 degrees for approximately 15 minutes, until the tilapia flakes comfortably with the use of a fork. This preparation is then served with tomato slices and broccoli. This recipe is good for 4 servings.
